			WHAT IS "FOLLOWING FRIENDS TO FAME"?  A tribute (of sorts!) to former hometown area (Glens Falls, NY) natives who, at one time or another, have pretty much "done it all" in the music industry and have done it with their own unique styles.  BAT McGRATH & DON POTTER are not only recording artists, they're songwriters, musicians and entertainers. Over the years, they've tackled rock and roll (The Show Stoppers), folk (Hylie Morris' Alley in Rochester, NY), and jazz (with Chuck Mangione); now Bat's "gone country" (he co-worte Wynonna Judd's top ten hit, "Come Some Rainy Day) and has had cuts by Earl Thomas Conley, Chely Wright, Chad Austin, Eclipse, Canadian artist John Landry and most recently, Kenny Rogers. Don, who never ceases to amaze me with his vocals and guitar work, now has his own Christian ministry. They've made a big impression on me, and I know I'm not alone!   I've followed their careers and collected their music since the mid-60s. Over the years, they've experienced the ups and downs of the music business, and both have gone on to enjoy considerable success.    In the early 90s, I ventured into songwriting myself. A friend once asked me why I'd kept such a strong interest in McGrath and Potter. I thought about it, asked myself the same question and answered it with a song called "Following Friends to Fame". That led to the writing of a 44-page booklet, which is available FREE to friends and fans of Bat and Don.   "Following Friends to Fame" includes a 2-song CD with the title cut and a second song entitled "The Writer".
